Summer Diaries

Ireland

· Irish Way Diary · 1 min read

The morning brings one thousand smiles, To light up night worn faces. Children indulge their fanciest wiles, And lovers meet in quiet places. Sunshine warms a misty world Too long caged in twilight That is now the property of laughing girls, And no longer of endless fights. Wild countrymen, sing your songs, Let loveliness become the norm. You have been kept down for far too long, And all your men are weather worn. Let light become your main indulgence, And peace be yours forever hence. ~A Sonnet by ILE 2010 Student, Caitlin Joseph
